New Test Shows Impending Risk for Heart Attack

A new technique dubbed a “fluid phase biopsy” can identify specific cells to provide a more accurate prediction of heart attack risk, according to a new study published in Physical Biology.

These features bring within reach the eventual clinical goal of using a CEC [circulating endothelial cells] assay as a robust diagnostic biomarker to determine which patients are at highest or imminent risk of a heart attack.
